Valleyview is a mix of commercial and residential use, bordered by the Trans Canada Highway to the North and the mountains to the South (Juniper Ridge sits atop these mountains). Extending to the west, it funnels into South Kamloops and the downtown core, and to the east, it borders the Dallas neighborhood.
The commercial area lines Trans Canada, providing amenities to travelers with gas stations, motels, and fast food chains. The residential area is further south, away from the highway. It consists mainly of well-established residential homes, but also includes newer higher-density housing as well as a few mobile home parks.
Residents of Valleyview enjoy quick access to Trans Canada, east to the Shuswap or west towards Vancouver. The terrain is flat and many well-established homes have large yards with ample room for RV parking. Commuters love the fast access to the downtown core. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is the Valleyview Nature Park to the north, as well as the nearby Bike Ranch, where you can bike, hike, explore, geocache, and just enjoy all the beauty that Kamloops has to offer.
