5 Best Spas To Go To In Or Around Kamloops For Your Next Wellness Day
It’s no secret, we all need a little bit of rest and relaxation from time to time. Whether it be work, family, relationships, or anything else, there’s always something that can drag on your mind and exhaust you both physically and mentally.
In recognition of this fact, many companies across the world are beginning to abide by a 4-day working week, allowing for an extra day off alongside weekends for employees to take care of themselves. Already now, employees of both senior and junior levels in virtually any company are granted one or two wellness days a month.
As such, we’ve put together a list regarding the five best spas across North America for you to pamper yourself at on your next Wellness Day – Get all that physical and mental stress off of your mind.
1. Aina Organic Spa
Kicking off this list is a day spa located in the heart of Kamloops. This business prides itself on being the city’s only organic spa and its’ ability to revitalize the minds and bodies of all types of people, ranging from managers to interns.
There is a vast range of holistic therapies available here, including massages, facial scrubs, saunas, body sugaring, and more. Additionally, you can also undergo body enhancements here to help yourself both look and feel good coming out of your relaxation session at the end of the day.
The cost of a day session here will be dependent on what exactly your package specifies, though it may be worth mentioning the spa’s gift cards feature to your relatives in the hopes that perhaps the experience will be gifted to you at Christmas or on a birthday. Generally speaking, however, a 1-hour massage costs $90, with the price varying down to $65 for 45 minutes and up to $135 for 90 minutes.
Aina Organic Spa is open from 10 AM to 6 PM on weekdays but is not open at weekends, so it is certainly catered more towards mid-week Wellness Days.
2. Your Escape Day Spa
This expansive spa is relatively new in comparison to others on this list, though the plus side to this is that treatments are very modern and ethical due to the business being established less than a decade ago.
The spa lives up to its’ name, as the professionals at this day spa will take you under their wing and pamper you until your time there is over. With premium facial scrubs, aromatherapy, body waxing, and more specialties in store, you can completely rejuvenate and reset your body from its’ worn-out work state.
We highly recommend this spa due to its’ premium manicures and pedicures, which are praised by customers for being exceptional in comparison to spas of a similar nature. A ‘Rejuvenating Manicure’ will set you back $45.
Waxing treatments will generally cost between $32 to $49, with different types of pedicures varying in the same range as well.
Your Escape Day Spa is open from 9 AM to 8 PM on weekdays but closes at 7 PM on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.
3. La Dolcevita Spa & Day Salon
Rated highest by Kamloops residents, La Dolcevita is a day spa like no other with its’ generous variety of treatments and relaxation services.
With 20 years of experience under their belts, the staff at La Dolcevita certainly know how to treat customers’ hair and skin properly and put you right back at the top of your game again – After all, it’s a spa and a salon.
We, along with many Kamloops locals, recommend this spot for its’ variety of facial scrubs, including ‘Signature Facial’, ‘Exclusive Facial’, ‘Fresh Face’, and more. You can also have your eyelashes lifted or extended, undergo hair removal (waxing), as well as premium pedicures and makeup application for special events.
Do keep in mind, however, that a classy day spa such as this one will cost you quite the premium; the Signature Facial scrub will set you back $115 alone, with the cheapest facial option still costing as much as $77. Like with Aina Organic Spa, however, gift cards are available – So be especially nice to your relatives this year!
La Dolcevita is open from 9 AM on Tuesdays to Saturdays, closing at different times between 5 PM and 7 Pm each day, but is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
4. Audra’s Image & Wellness Day Spa
Possibly the longest-running spot on this list, Audra’s Day Spa won the Kamloops Reader’s Choice Award back in 2015 for its outstanding services.
Whilst you can stick to more ‘familiar’ relaxation methods such as aromatherapy, waxing, gel polishing, pedicures, and others, you can also try something a little different such as Yon-Kai facials and Reiki stress reduction.
Furthermore, let’s say your Wellness Day comes about and you’ve been unable to find or book anything for whatever reason – Adding even more stress and frustration to your mind – And you really need to relax for a little while… Well, this spa would be just the place for you, as they accept walk-in customers just as well as those who have scheduled over the phone.
We’ve picked this spa out for one of its enticing packages. For the combined price of $170, you’ll be put through the ‘Heavenly Treat’ package which includes a head, neck, and shoulder massage as well as a deluxe pedicure with nail polishing for after.
Audra’s Image & Wellness Day Spa is open from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
5. Little Spa & Boutique
Our last pick on this list goes to one of Kamloops’ finest; a spa that caters equally to both men and women and even sells its own product line for you to almost take the spa home with you.
For men, there are the standard hair removal and skincare routines that you can undergo, but there’s also a somewhat unique hand and foot care routine; something that not many modern-day spas offer.
Women can book the same treatments as men, though can also choose eyelash or brow tinting and body treatments. As a general indicator of price, a 30-minute salt scrub will set you back $45 whilst a 60-minute moisturizing massage will cost as much as $80.
Little Spa & Boutique’s business hours are fluid, so it is best to phone in advance and check times. Evening appointments are also available if you so desire.
Overall…
It’s never shameful to admit that you need to take a break. You should always put taking care of yourself near the top of your list, and if that means ditching everything and everyone and heading straight to a day spa, then so be it. With our picks on this list, you can choose a place that best appeals to you in order to make your Wellness Day as useful and revitalizing as can be.
