If you value space, views, and a neighbourhood that feels settled rather than rushed, Dufferin often stands out.
What Living Here Is Actually Like

Evenings feel calm
Noise levels stay low
Neighbours tend to know each other
Homes feel separated rather than tightly packed

You’ll find:
Homes built primarily from the 1970s through the 1990s
Newer builds and custom homes from the 2000s and later
Detached single-family homes dominate the area
Larger lots than many central Kamloops neighbourhoods
Frequent garages, workshops, and outdoor space
Some homes with basement suites or suite potential, depending on zoning and layout
Because development occurred in phases, some streets feel very established, while others feel more modern.
Schools & Family Life

Schools are located nearby, and many homes offer yards and layouts that work well for kids and pets. The neighbourhood feels family-friendly without being overly busy or crowded.
It’s not a highly walkable area for errands, but it works well for families who rely on driving and value a calm home environment.
